About Esperanza

Since 1989, Esperanza Community Housing Corporation has been a social justice non-profit, working to achieve comprehensive community development in South Central Los Angeles. Esperanza strives to meet the most pressing needs of neighborhood residents, strengthen children and families through developing affordable housing, promoting access to health education and quality care, providing educational and cultural opportunities, and stimulating economic development. Esperanza strives always to build hope with the community. Esperanza is a local leader in community land use campaigns and the movement toward health and human rights.

Current Job Opportunities:

People Not Pozos Project Manager (full-time position)

  • Must have experience in program management, grant reporting, community organizing, and supervising others
  • Must have excellent communication and writing skills
  • Must be detail oriented, organized, and proficient with computers
  • Have a passion for environmental and social justice
  • Willing to work some evenings and weekends
  • Ability to communicate in Spanish a plus
