On Friday October 17, 2008 from 7pm – midnight Esperanza Community Housing Corporation will be throwing a massive dance party at the Mercado La Paloma (3655 S. Grand Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90007) to celebrate our community and raise funds in support of our grassroots work.  Tickets are available for $50 by clicking the "Donate Now" button on this website or by sending cash, check or money order to Esperanza (Checks made payable to "Esperanza Community Housing Corporation, 2337 S. Figueroa Street, Los Angeles, CA 90007).  Tickets are also available at EsperanSalud in the Mercado La Paloma. 

 Esperanza Community Housing Corporation has been a fixture in the Figueroa Corridor of South Central Los Angeles since 1989.  Esperanza has a long history of building hope with community by providing affordable housing, health outreach, education and arts programs, and economic development.  Our Dancing Under the Stars celebration is a reflection of the community: filled with dancing, joy, and camaraderie.

Tickets are only $50 and for that low price you will get a truly unique night in Los Angeles: dinner, dancing, art, and solidarity.  

A delectable dinner will be served by the vendors of the Mercado until 9 pm and then get ready to dance!  Our neighbors, partners, supporters, and other friends of Esperanza will be dancing to Salsa, Cumbia, Merengue, Cha-Cha-Cha and more and we’d love for you to join us! 

Dinner from 7-9 pm: The vendors of the Mercado will provide an elegant meal:

Chicken w/ Sun-dried tomato & Chipotle sauce from Chichen Itza, Rice Pilaf from Stratos, Sautéed Vegetables with herbs from Thai Corner Food Express, Taquito with Guacamole & Sour Cream from Taqueria Vista Hermosa, Salad  from Burger Plaza Grill, Dinner Roll from La Maison de Crème, Assorted Aguas Frescas from Oaxacalifornia.
